Burner Covers?

Wondering what folks are using to cover the burners when not in use. I have a 184BH and we could really use that real estate as counter top space. All ideas or suggestions are welcome.

We use the standard stove cover. It attaches to the back of the burner area and folds back out of the way when cooking.

Bought the biggest plastic cutting board from Walmart. $10
Screwed 2 blocks of wood to the bottom that fit into the grid to keep it from moving around.
About 20 minute mod.

We have the Camco black stove top cover for our 3 burner Atwood stove. It attaches to the back and is hinged to fold up.

We just installed one on our Atwood. The extra counterspace should be good. As well I'm making a cover for the curved larger side of the sink. Then the whole kitchen area will be counter as needed.

This is also the one we have and it works very well. My only complaint is that the gauge of metal could be a bit thicker, considering the cost.

Since some of the newer tt's don't come with one (money saver for the factories) you might get one from a salvage yard then put a camco cutting board on it. The cutting board does not move with the "no slip" mat under it even when the cover is vertical. Larry

We also use something similar to this. SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed) liked the "wood look" over the black. But I will say that Larry needs to start a new thread with this recipe, and soon!

Have something similar to this as well. With the rubber on the bottom, it stays in place during transport.

Cut a piece of Luan and made a frame from 1 inch wood. Hold the whole thing down with velcro.

Ditto here. Its worked out really well. We don't use the stove often as we mostly cook with a tripod and nuke things. But when we have used the stove it was easy to just move things out of the way and remove the cutting board.

We use an old 18 x 14 wood cutting board. Fits perfect. Serves several purposes. We cook mainly outside so gives us more prep space.
