Camco Propane Tank Covers
I'm looking at the black Camco propane tank cover to replace my vinyl one the dealer put on. I've got 20# tanks; however, the 20# dual tank version is hard to find. Lots of the 20/30# model available but I'm unsure if that will work ok for my 20# tanks. Has anyone used this one for 20# tanks and was it easy enough to open the top and turn the tanks on and flip the switchover?

I pretty sure you're talking about this one?

We have one for our #30 tanks. Yes, it very easy to get to the tank valves, and should give access to your regulator depending on its orientation. Ours is an automatic changeover, but no lever to isolate.
The two little black knobs loosen up, and tilt out of the way so you can lift the lid. We also use a mini bungee on the two tabs on the bottom edge of the cover. These covers are great, but fit a little looser than the slide-over originals. Haven't lost it yet.

I bought a 20# replacement cover at a Camping World on the road after I discovered the top flap blew off somewhere on the highway. Granted it was extremely windy, but I am always careful to screw them down pretty tight. Even more so now. Since the 30# ones stick up higher, I’d be make sure the flap is secured.
I did a quick check — our CW says they are back-ordered. Sign of the times I guess.

This would be the one - https://www.amazon.com/Camco-40558-H...5326675&sr=8-2
My concern is that my 20# tanks are going to be too low to be easily reached.

I also have 20# tanks on my SLX. I bought this one and it fits perfectly. It is shorter than the 30# cover so I have no problem reaching the valves to open the tanks. It appears to be in stock.

Had same problem on first travel trailer with that cover so I got all ambitious and used zip ties thru the hinge side to keep it on there if it blew open in the winds in Texas or Wyoming so far so good.

We have the dual 30# tank cover with 20# tanks. No issue at all accessing the valves or reading the tank level gauges.

There is about a six inch difference between the two tanks. The taller you are the less significant the size difference will be. Long arms will also mitigate the issue.

Why not just trim the bottom of the tank cover to fit the #20 tanks? Jay.
