Command Center Door re-work

Over my command center I have this small door with opaque glass.

Now there are few things more annoying to me that spending a boatload of money on something and then find out that something is not right. This door is a different profile that ALL the other cabinet doors in my RV. The edge is a straight angle, it is only 1/2 inch thick, and the finish is a different shade and more opaque than all my other cabinets. I called Jayco and railed at them for a while. Well they sent me the "correct" door in the mail, only to find it is the same door. So they designed this RV with an odd door, right at the main door.
So I took the extra door I now have and went to town.
First I routed out a 1/8" round-over profile which really matches the other cabinets, and stripped it down.

Then I used Minwax English Chestnut stain. What a difference. Below is a comparison with the original door and against one of the other cabinet doors.

I plan on finishing this with a water-based polyurethane in satin. Now I am on to the next annoying thing.

I took mine off after the second time I came up the steps under it and busted my head open. Now there is just no door. It also makes it easier for me to see if the hot water heater or anything else is turned on.
