Digital Thermostats?

I am installing a 2nd AC unit (13,500 BTU) in the bedroom of my Jayco Eagle. I will require a thermostat for it and was wondering if anyone has installed/replaced the thermostats (heating & cooling) with digital readout ones?

Is it a simple installation? Which thermostat did you use? Costs of mod?

Thanks!

The first thing I did with my new (2017) Greyhawk was to swap out the thermostats for digital. Worth every penny! Bedroom one is cool only while main one is heat/cool. Very easy install.

X2 with what Jim says. Taking out the analog thermo and installing the digital was one of the best mods I've done.

But, in the case of the OP, doesn't it depend on what the actual manufacturer of the A/C unit is and the control system? My rig is a Coleman on the roof.

Many here have done this mod. Just make sure the one you get is a direct replacement.
Be sure to take power, 12vdc off the old thermostat before starting to prevent any damage in case a wire touches the wrong place.
There are threads on her with pictures.

Mine were done 6 years ago and work wonders for keeping the temps better regulated.
