Dinette Cushion Replacement
We've loved our dinette to death and it's time to replace the cushions. I'm looking at the RecPro option and love the price but have a couple questions.
Are the square corners an issue getting in or out? The original is curved on one side which makes it impossible to flip to even out the usage.
Of course if anyone has bought them, we'd love to hear your evaluation.
Also, the cover is still in good shape. Is replacing the foam easy, difficult, or impossible?

If the cushions can be remove then take them to an upholstery shop to replace the foam or find a mobile upholster............I have doen both for my boat.

Coach, I’m in the same boat with our 212 QBW cushions. I’ll be following your thread to see what folks say. I did bookmark a couple of threads/articles that may be of help if you’re still deciding…

I had my Dinette cushions and the 2 bunk mattresses in my 28BHBE done at a local upholstery shop. I brought them the pieces and chose the foam density I wanted. Total cost for the entire job was $700.00 most of that was the 2 mattresses though.

We also had our dinette cushions done at an upholstery shop. Upgrading from factory 1lbs foam to 3 lbs foam was a great investment in our assets. Cost us $300

Taftcoach,
My dinette cushions are getting so scrunched down that I have to sit on a pillow so my butt doesn't fall asleep. Like yours, my fabric is still in good shape. I plan on getting Recpro replacement foam in the next few weeks. They have it in a variety of sizes for less than half the price of the local apolstry shop. The foam can be trimmed (or the corner rounded) using an electric carving knife. In my case, the back-rest foam is rounded on top, so I'll be tracing the profile from one of the old back cushions onto the new cushion. Then (using my electric carving knife) I'll be cutting the new back cushions to shape. Since the cushion fabric has a zipper on the bottom edge, they are pretty easy to remove. Once I have the new cushions cut to size & shape, I plan on covering them with a layer of polyester fiber fill sheeting. You can find it at any fabric store, or at Walmart or Hobby Lobby. That will add a little extra cushioning and soften the sharp edges. I'll also wash the cushion fabric in cold water and low dryer heat setting before stuffing the new cushions into the fabric. In the mean time, you can flip the cushions and then put the right-hand cushion on left-hand seat, and visa versa. That will take care of the rounded corner issue. Hope this helps, and good luck with your little project!

Eventually we decided to visit our local foam supplier. $120 later, (foam, batting, labor to stuff) and we're good to go. $6 per cushion to stuff was a bargain in our eyes. That price was bottoms only, the backs were fine.

If I were to search for a foam supplier, what search terms would I use? You said it like yeah I just went to my local foam shop...

Our dinette cushions were a joke from new. We replaced them the first week we owned the camper. Ordered 3lb foam online and replaced myself.

I bought new foam at JoAnne fabrics, cut it to fit and replaced the old smashed foam myself. It wasn't the best quality foam, but it lasts for several years and they usually have a pretty good coupon online so it's cheap.
