Does your bathroom need a cheap and tidy upgrade mod?

Here's an idea to give a nice finishing touch look to a rather unfinished piece by Jayco.

In my unit, the toilet water supply line comes through the lower wall of the bathroom sink vanity enclosure. Jayco cut a 1.5 inch hole through the board using a hole saw and left a brutally chopped up and rough edge. Anyone else's like that?

My solution? Home Depot sells a 2 3/8 inch wire grommet for computer desk cords. It cost 2.79 and came in black and white. I chose black to match my trim and used a dremmel tool to open up the size of the hole. Disconnect the water supply line to the back of the toilet, put the grommet on the line and twist it into the hole you just carved out. That alone makes it look so much better, but then I realized the piece that snaps into the grommet to close off the hole has a cutout (for the wires) that perfectly matches the diameter of the water line. It clips right in and looks like it should have looked out of the factory. Little things like this - Jayco take note!

Looks nice. Mine comes up through the floor in a very close fitting hole.

This is an older thread, but am showing this to hubby ... what a nice touch ... and, any opportunity to discourage insects or fuzzy critters from entering our home away from home is an excellent mod.

Wow what a blast from the past! I had forgotten about this thread until it was resurrected... One of the first few mods I did to a trailer which has become a passionate obsession going strong LOL. Now I have a different trailer with 30+ mods!
