Door surprise

Oh my goodness! I just took down the cornice board above the front door of my 2004 Jay Flight. There s a big gap between the top of the door frame and wall! Am. Gonna have to put it back on?

I'm not sure what you are talking about. Did you remove the trim around the entry door? Why did you remove it?

I'm pretty sure that's why it's there. To hide the gap. I'd put it back.

Door surprise

I'd really like a pic above the front door. Thanks!

Expanding Foam is your friend. It could add insulation and a little more stability to the door.

Was it glued to the wall? I wanted to take mine off my 05 Jay Feather and re-cover it, but I removed the screws and still could NOT get it to pull free, it felt like I was going to rip a hole in the wall if I kept pulling.

We got it off. I was going to recover it, but someone here mentioned expanding compound. I took mine off with metal spatula

X2 and I called Jayco and they told me it's just the screws holding it on but I say that's just not the case, it's not coming off no matter how hard I pull and tug.

Find the screws you can't see easily....

From odd angles that can only be achieved when standing on the construction scaffold. Or if you are laying on the floor. Lots of portable light will help too.
