Easy way to level RV side to side
(This is made up of 1/4 inch by 2 inch poplar wood from Lowes)
(Works with 8 ft wide trailers)
(Total cost $2.00)
1-Place 2 ft level against the wall by door.
2-Walk the level up the ramp until it's level
3-Each 1/4 inch rise is 1 inch added to the low side
Easy and works great

This is for use inside with the level to figure what you need on the low side?
I just lift the low end of the level and then roughly eyeball the amount it's out of level. My leveling boards are 2x10's + 3/4" plywood squares. I can get myself close enough with those to what I guess from the level. I stop the trailer where I want it parked then pull ahead to put the boards and plywood in as needed. Installing a Bigfoot system would eliminate all that but I'm cheap

I just run the low side up the Andersen levelers until the bubble says it's level.

Are you willing to publish the math?
I use a 6" level on the rear bumper. And, since I prefer to work in steel rather than wood, I'd attach the steps permanently back there and mark them with the number of Linx Levelers needed under the 2 low side tires.

8' = 96"
96" / 6" (your level length) = 16
So every 1/16" of your 6" level is = to 1 inch rise needed.
Although close, this isn't exact math, the 8' is the overall outside width, the wheels sit under the camper so it is less than 8' wheel to wheel. But honestly if you are within an inch can you really tell?
Apologies to op, not trying to steal you post by giving out the math

Thanks!
It is a straight proportion. I was worried it was going to involve the inverse square of the torque of the lugnuts expressed in foot-Newtons.
1/16" thick steps (1/16, 1/8, 3/16, 1/4...) are very common sizes. Gotta put this someplace I'll find it later. CRS is such a pain.

I just use one of these stuck on the front of the trailer. Each mark is 1 inch out of level.
Hopkins Graduated RV Levels - Stick-on - Qty 2 Hopkins Tools HM08525
I stick one on the side as well up front to tell when it is leveled front to back as well without going to far from the front jack.
Easy and cheap.

I think this is a good idea, but I just don't understand one thing -- where do you put your chock?

His block as pictured goes under the level to give him an idea of how much he needs to raise the low side of the trailer. The end of the level goes on the steps until the level shows level.
Took me a while to figure it out too. I was thinking it was like an Anderson leveler.
Cheers

I've got to admit that I'm spoiled by my Jaco.
The easiest way is for me to press the "Auto Level" button.
