Thumbs up Electric Tongue Jack

My son gave me a gift card for Christmas to the local parts house and I used it towards the electric jack (Atwood 3500#). Installed it last week and I'll say the install is easy. The bride asked how long I thought it'd take and I guessed a couple of hours.
30 minutes later I was putting the toolbox away.
Whirrrr, tongue goes up. Whirrrr, tongue goes down.
Dang, this is easy! I can do that without spilling my beverage.
If you've been thinking about one of these, do it! And then do it yourself.
My only hitch was not having any electrical tape on hand (Grrr! thought I had some in the toolbox). I've got a roll now.

This isn't nearly as impressive as dlfeather's fireplace/tele install but I'm more than happy with it.

Now, don't you wish you would have put one on sooner?

I really like the power tongue jack. It really makes putting the WD bars on easier.

When I was buying my trailer I consulted a buddy and he said - whatever you do - get one....sure glad I did! I negotiated it into my purchase and they installed it.....I can't stand my cargo trailer with a crank...I can't imagine doing the camper and spring bars..

Yeah! I'll bet it makes it easier for the Bride to put them on too. :hihi:

Yeah my bride does not know a spring bar from a tongue jack. There are some things she does not wish to learn, and I do not wish to teach her!

Sallie helps me hook up the trailer. She takes care of one side and I do the other. Sometimes she even uses the up and down button on the jack.

She's good at reading the level (24" on the TT floor) and backing me in for hookup and the TT pad. My plan is to get her to drop the tongue on the ball when I get it in position (please no comments - I know I've set myself up ). We're taking a short trip in Feb along the coast and I'll give it a go.
