External USB Outlet

Has anyone installed an external USB outlet? I thought it might be convenient, for something like an led light string. I was looking at this - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HHSTQKP. Would I run a wire from the fuse panel somehow?

You might consider installing a standard 12 volt cigarette style outlet, then you could get a USB insert or if you have items like an air pump for inflatables, you could plug that in to the outlet. I have 2 12 volt subpanels run directly from the battery, in at the back of the camper and one at the front and I would pull power from those. You could find a wire to tap in to, just have to be sure what else is on it.
