Floor-to-wall Trim?

Friends,
We just bought a 2018 Jayco Flight 245RLS.
Immaculate condition, however being another tinkerer I’m thinking about adding some type of caulk around the base of the walls and covering it with plastic molding.
Reason is that the bottoms of walls have no protection from feet, shoes, grandchildren toys etc. Also seems a good idea to have some sealant at the wall-to-floor junction.
Any thoughts suggestions and experience will be appreciated!

I just ran a bead of clear silicone caulk used for bathrooms and kitchens around our whole floor to wall joint. Also around the cabinet and floor seams. Because I am so poor at doing caulking I have one of those triangle shaped rubber tools to smooth it out. Jay

Yup, I thought about that and possibly running some bathtub trim along the seam over the sealant. My goal is to seal the wall-to-floor seam and to protect the wallpaper (if that’s what you all it). Several used Jayco’s we looked at showed wear and tears along bottom of the walls.

In your house bathroom if you seal all the way around the toilet and the seal fails you don't know it leaks until if ruins the ceiling below, or rots the wood that supports it.

Sealing the wall may prevent a small leak from going unnoticed until the damage is much worse.

Just thinking out loud.

Agreed.
The trim idea is good but not the sealant.
I also was not real good at using a caulk gun and making my sealant joints look good until this old timer told me I was doing it all wrong. You don't lay a bead down and pull toward you, you push it. What a difference that made. Mine look professional now.

A wet finger to smooth it helps too.

Hmmm...interesting point, Thanks.
On the other hand, I want to prevent moisture from little muddy feet and wet bathing suits from getting into the joint also.
Still thinking...
