For our convenience to make our life easier

Showed someone through our TT today and they commented on a few of the "mods" we made that made life eaiser. I'd never thought about it. His wife said she has a "blog" about things to make baking easier and we should have one too. Here is my list:
1. Put a hook and attached a small bag in the storage comparment to keep all the spring clips, etc. for hitching and unhitching.
2. Put velcro tabs on the side of the Murphy bed to attach the staps at night so they don't fall into the well (as they did multiple times before the DW came up with this idea).
4. Cut "leaf screens" to fit the back of every drawer in the TT so nothing falls out of the back of the drawer.
5. Made a "holder" out of a broom stick and dry mop base to hold up our folding couch so I could get to the storage area.
6. One of my "dumber mods;" mounted a second bumper on the back of the TT so I could store an extra sewer hose. It's convient, but mounting a PV pipe underneath the TT would have been a better idea.

What have you done that made your lives easier in your RV; maybe we could steal your ideas

I screwed a hook into the end of a broom handle and use it to reach deep into the pass through storage area and pull totes and other things I can't reach out towards me.

I’m definitely stealing #4! When things fall behind the two draws under the couch it take a act of god to retrieve them! Thanks for the great idea!

I installed a stainless steel braided line with a quarter turn ball valve to the hot water tank drain, so it’s easy to empty the hot water tank after each trip. No tools required.

#1 Took the propane oven out and replaced with our Breville Smart Oven Pro - much easier to cook in (just two of us), lot less weight, and more space to store kitchen stuff underneath now....

#2 Replaced Long neck kitchen faucet with one that is not as long... no more
"splash over" onto the counter when washing dishes...

#3 Removed trim slide glass doors on shower and replaced with shower rod/curtain. More weight saving and easier to clean shower now.

#4 Removed sofa in one of the living room slides - put dog kennel and shoe drawers in it - more weight reduction...

now we have more weight allowance for our personal stuff since we do this full time...

Some other mods, but those are. the best for living somewhat easier...

Some things may be std. on some RVs, but they weren't on ours...

* Added a paper towel rack above the sink.
* Added a towel rack in the bathroom and at the end of the countertop.
* Added a marine grade shutoff switch on the battery.
* Strengthened the queen bed frame to prevent sagging, and also added lift shocks.
* Added a solar system
* Added a TV.
* Replaced the umbilical cord with a fixed socket and added a male plug to the cord.
* Added Vent covers and sealed the edges with copper wool.
* Put brass eye hooks in several places to be able to hang flashlights, etc.
* Put a handle next to the tub to make getting out of the shower safer.
* Put a handle on the screen door so it can be closed easier.
* Added some decorations and metal signs inside, to make the RV look more homey.
* Changed the thermostat to digital.
* Added a backsplash around the stove.
* Made wall-to-wall carpeting from remnants found at a carpet store.
* Installed a hose and funnel on a replacement water tank cap to make filling easy.
* Put a Mopeka on the propane tank for precise gas measurement.
* Bought a spare propane regulator and pigtail (the crap oem broke in a year)
* Bought a hitch and wheel lock to thwart theft (worked so far).
* Tire covers, of course.
* Put the stupid spare tire under the bed.
* Replaced the cheep TV antenna with a good one.
* Built a folding shelf over the toilet for good storage when not in use.
* Built a shoe rack for the closet.
* Installed a vent fan in the bathroom.
* Got rid of the dumb pull out step at the back door and built a real step with railing.

Installed magnetic door catches on cabinet doors in the bedroom since they stay open a lot and it hurts like crap to hit my elbow on them. Also installed one on the bedroom door to keep it open when we are not exactly side to side level.

Installed self closing hinges on the "door" that was screwed on. This door was where the water heater, pump and valves and was opened before and after every trip.
Added gas lifters under the bed so I didn't have to lift it under the weight of a Zinus.
Bought an Andersen hitch instead of one with heavy arms and a bar to lift them.

Great lists everyone. We added:
* Hydraulic lift under the queen bed so it's easier to lift to access storage.
* We're not TV folks - taking the TV off the wall mount to install more shelving.
* Command hooks everywhere possible.
* Added a tiny diaper pail to the bathroom to avoid clogging up our blackwater tank (it's so very "special")
* Gave up on the OEM radio - again, we can use the storage space and we have portable radios

I like that idea too. Put manets on the one door that popped open anytime we traveled.

Also took out the oven and removed the cooktop and put the cooktop back in place. Used a Cuisinart oven/air fryer with mechanical knob under the cooktop with room for accessories. Thought it would be more durable than having electronics.

I use a spring loaded curtain rod with plastic lined curtains that spans behind the driver/passenger seat to provide better privacy when sleeping. We can easily open it in the morning rather than use the windshield cover.
