Fridge died

Well it finally happened my Norcold fridge died (2009 Jayco Eagle TT) so after much searching I found a JC fridge conversion unit cost $895.00 it took my fridge box removed the cooling unit and replaced it with a 12V unit. This greatly reduced my propane use and has been working great everyday since I installed it. This sure beats $3000.00 for a new fridge....

That's great that there are conversion kits available so your fridge doesn't look 'replaced' and look at the $$ you saved. A new (little) 8cf Furrion will set you back $1,400.

I understand the need for and importance of a propane fridge for some, but 'the many' out here are really enjoying these new 12v fridges.

I to, have had to replace my refrigerator (1994 Jayco Eagle 300 TT). It made it 30 years. I have replaced the circuit boards several times trying to keep it going but when the yellow powder shows up, it's over. I had an 8.6 cubic foot absorption Norcold. The new 12VDC refrigerator is 10.6 cubic foot from Camping World. I lucked out, there were sales and discounts when I went to order it. I paid $800.00 for the refrigerator and $200.00 for a 2-year extended warrantee, added to the manufacture 2-year warrantee. I think we are going to enjoy this upgrade.

I am considering making this switch, even though there's nothing wrong with my Norcold refrigerator. I like the idea of running it off 12V
