Frilly curtain topper has got to go!

Checked out the curtain toppers in our 23J today and was happy to find the frilly curtain toppers were just velcroed on. Took measurements and will make a flat contoured denim padded valance that can be put up in its place with Velcro. Pretty easy and will add a more personal touch with some other denim accessories I hope (fingers crossed) worst case, can just put originals back on I suppose

Please, please post pics. I love denim and would love how it can be used for home decor.

The gold/yellow window topper in my 17Z was not frilly, but it had to go. I have a nice small green check pattern in its place.

Did you do it yourself? was it easy? I have started on mine, but realized I did not check if the hook or the loop part of the Velcro was on the curtain part. I need to know before I go any further so if anyone can help me out on it that would be great. don't really want to drive the hour out and back right now
thanks

A friend of mine made them. I don't sew, so it was better that way. My camper is now an hour from home (I can check this weekend), but I think the "soft" side of the Velcro goes on the curtain and the "rough" side goes on the camper.

That's my guess too but would hate to mix it up . There is no rush on it for sure

I am camping now and the stiff side of the Velcro is on the trailer, and the soft side is on the curtains.

I knew... just teasin' for fun. Spell check is always great too. You can spell a word out of context and it looks just fine. That is, until the next time you see that post and realize it's wrong.

It was hard to get a good picture and only one window view picture turned out, all in all I am happy with the results. Its kinda hard to tell but there is an embroidered sun in the middle of the topper. There is a matching one on the other side but the picture turned out too dark. I am posting more pictures under the thread "pics of your Jayco".

Here are pictures of my replacements. I am not big on the brown/tan color scheme that came with my camper. I have turned most of the inside into greens and blues.
