Front Pass through modification.

I want to line the rear of my pass through with 1/4 plywood to make à hanging rack for the various stuff on the floor. The linning will let me fasten the hangers with small bolts from the rear for strength with less weight. Is it worth while while doing it to insulate the 1/2 gap with some styrofoam or even some spray in low expansion foam? I have heard that the bed platforms can be a source of some cold drafts.
Any thought from some more experienced people. Thanks.

Probably not, because air will just go up the gap between the bed platform and the enclosure anyways. Your BEST method (not sure how practical though...) would be to put rubber foam on the underside of your bed platform where it meets the enclosure frame. That will stop the free air movement between the enclosure and the interior cabin space.

I made that modification but used Baltic Birch plywood, it is much stronger than standard plywood (it has more plys and zero voids), so holds screws etc better. I agree with weather stripping would be a better choice. Happy Camping.

On my previous TT, I used 1 X 3 stand-offs around the edges, then every 20" o.c., and used pegboard. The pegboard hardware came with plastic clips that bridged from hole to hole, and held the hardware in place.
