Future Mod to TT.
Second week of June, I plan on converting my Hardwired Shore Power Cord, to a Detachable one. I already have the Kit, just need to wait as we are getting ready to see my son in Southern California.
Here is the Kit I bought. I will post pictures of the process.

I did that mod last year on my old trailer. No regrets. The cord is MUCH easier to store!

Will enjoy following your conversion. I plan to do the same in a year or so.
On the interior, my trailer has an 'end table' for the cord storage. DW and I both REALLY want to eliminate that 'feature.' Does your trailer have a similar 'feature?' If so, do your plans include keeping it or getting rid of it?

We have the end table as well between the 2 rockers. I plan on keeping the table and using the new found storage for Dachshund toys.

Shore Cord Modification completed! 
1st, Removed the 3 screws securing existing cord access.
2nd, Removed the Plastic Access.
3rd, Cleaned the area of old sealant.
4th, Cut shore cord 12" outside of wall. ( As you can see, I cut it shorter, but I work with electrical wires all the time, and I have another Mod to finish and did not need the extra 10" pushed back into the trailer)
5th, Attach wires to Furrion receptacle according to color code. (Be sure to have gasket and the adaptor plate in place 1st.)
6th, Attach strain relief
7th, Screw receptacle to adaptor plate, then screw adaptor plate to TT.
Finally, take your cut shore cable and attach the Furrion plug to it.
The directions were very detailed and will be more than adequate for the novice Mod'r. Now to hinge my end table where the old cord was stored and have 1 more place to store items.

The mod looks nice (you did a great job on the install) but I don't understand the advantage of doing it. Before you had a great place to store your power cord and now you need to store it somewhere else. What am I missing?

Pulling and pushing the cord in and out of the rat hole!
I did the same mod to my old trailer. The new one will get it too.

Exactly! No more wiping it down to push it through, or fighting with it on cold morning pack ups. Just unhook and throw it in the truck. I also will gain a place to store our Dachshounds bones and toys, now that the cord is no longer there.

The need to do this mod??
the factory molded male end of the power cord tucks just fine into the cover of the "rat hole". HOWEVER, when molded cord end separates from the cord and you have put an new male 30A end on the cord, it no longer fits inside the rat hole.
I got flagged over to the side of the road because 10feet of my power cord had creeped out on the highway and was just bouncing along the freeway.
it hasn't happened since, but I need to do something. I don't like the idea of having to store a power cord, so I was thinking of tying off and snaking a bungee cord out the rat hole, then using a clip to hold the end in place.

Stowing the power cord separately absolutely blows away the process of stuffing the cord!
- Disconnect both ends.
- Coil the cord neatly into your off hand using your lead hand.
- Toss the coil into any storage bin or locker.
- Secure the cover over the poser inlet.
Also the cord will never-ever-again snag when you are trying to pull it out in the rain after dark!

I plan to gain floor space for a free-standing table under the window, some wall space for a hard-wired EMS, and, hopefully, a CAT cable entry point and power for our WiFi.

I am leaning that way. my DW rolls her eyes everytime I spend time/money to modify the trailer. (she calls it my "mistress")
