H2O heater cover modification

I added hinges, handle, and clasp to the covering over the water heater. It's below the refrigerator and was held on with 2 long screws. I wanted to be able to inspect under the fridge and to be able to switch the water heater bypass, and to get to the low point drains easily.

I can do that now. I'll attempt to add pictures, however, my pictures usually are either upside down or sideways.

Be careful you wife does not fill it with pots!

Great idea for quick access.

I think she knows better. Way too many exposed water lines and a few electrical lines to be putting anything in there. However there is a constant tug of war. I want as light a trailer as I can get, and she wants to fill every square inch of open space.

I definitely wanted something quick opening. Was a pain to unscrew two screws every time I needed to get in the space, or just look at the equipment or waterlines.

Atlee, to please her you can go to higher rated "AXLES"
Look at it this way: You can take more tools with you too (hobby while camping)
