Hybrid plastic windows in the tent sections ???

Way back when we had our first Jayco Pop Up 30 years ago, the windows had plastic zip windows between the screen and canvas. You could unzip the canvas to allow in light and a view, while keeping the cold out or the hot out depending.
Has anyone done this mod to their current hybrid?
BTW, as I was typing this it started raining and I now have a wet pillow, just another advantage of the plastic windows.

I have often wished for this. They have them in the body of the PUs and in the slideouts, but to my knowledge no one puts them in the bunkends. I have put see through vinyl in the windows, but it isn't sealed. I just put it between the bunkend bow and let it hang down over the screen on the end of the bunk.

I just use thin plastic clipped on to the outside seam ( top & side) a dowel on the bottom for weight and to roll the plastic up on. i hate not being able to see in the rain plus I'm a pusher ,I try to push the pillow outside through the fabric when i'm sleeping
