I just couldn't stand it any longer . . . !

I JUST COULN'T TAKE IT ANY LONGER! I JUST HAD TO GET OUT THERE AND DO SOMETHING WITH MY NEW TRAILER!

Nothing drastic, mind you. Just hooked up the battery so I could extend the slide and kick the furnace on. Then hung the new towels in the bathroom, put a "fuzzy cover" on the toilet seat, and laid down the new through rugs. Hung some coat hooks under the message/control center by the door. Hung a paper towel holder under the kitchen overhead cabinets. Screwed a TV wall mount onto the bedroom wall. (Of course, the factory sticker placer put the label up too high, so my first hole missed the backer . . . even though my stud finder indicated it was there.) Laid a pet protector/throw on the vinyl sofa, so the dog wouldn't scratch it up. Then just sat on the sofa and listened to the radio for a while. Finally, I took some measurements for insulating the front storage compartment & bed - like Rustic Eagle and others have done - then put a bin full of stuff in there, pulled the battery and came home. It wasn't anything major, but it sure felt good to be in the trailer.

I guess I've really got it bad, don't I?
(Will post some pics when I get a few more things done.)

That all sounds great I wish I could do that! My new trailer is still at the dealer over an hour away, so I can't even look at it out the window. I'm hoping end of march/early april to bring it home. Hopefully it's warm enough to at least be outside by then.

Yep, you got it bad, just like the rest of us! Believe it or not, you're just getting started. Doing mods are fun, and the ideas on this fabulous Forum are endless.

Picked up a torque wrench for the wheel lugs and a 3" thick memory foam mattress topper today. Took them to the trailer storage area, put the wrench in the front storage box, and (of course) had to make up the bed. That took almost an hour, since the topper had to "inflate". Boy are they heavy & cumbersome to move around! Tested it out for "feel", and it's pretty good. Had an "egg carton" style mattress topper on my old TT bed. Think I'm going to add that on top of the memory foam, to see how that feels.

It felt almost like spring outside today.

I thought I was the only one just sitting in my trailer and admiring it! I feel like a kid playing "fort".

I went to the dealer where mine is sitting and took a few pics and arranged my appointment so I know how everything works. It sucks having this Beauty and not being able to use it yet. I also arranged to have them tow it to its new home at a seasonal site. I find my self looking all over the internet for items that I will need or want for my trailer. My job allows me to spend 5 days in a row there then back to work for 5 days etc. I may even compute at times as it is only 40 minutes away!

Skip,
First trip looks like middle of April to Mitchel State Park outside of Cadillac, Mich. I was successful in the spring turkey hunt drawing. I may try to get up there at the end of March for a couple of days to do a little scouting.

Has it been warm enough in AK to have your first outing?
