Insect Screens and LED's

I had wasp nests everywhere, so I tackled the insect screens this past weekend...I used metal screen and baling wire or something of the sort. The fridge job was the most challenging. As for the water heater, I just popped out the small aluminum cover and put a piece of screen behind it and popped it back in. The furnace- I just made a small square out of screen to cover all the holes and wrapped a piece of wire around it...Worked like a charm. I will post some pics of that tomorrow. The fridge was a little more challenging. I cut the screen and used the wire to cover the vents...Sound easy? Not really, but after some trial and error this is what I came up with....At the end I added some gorilla glue to bond it all together...If it doesn't work I will be buying another fridge vent cover..LOL!

I added some LED's for some campground gaudiness...Hopefully one of a kind this weekend.

Have a great Labor Day Weekend!

We used a hot glue gun to adhere the screen to the vent covers.

Is the screen going to interfere with the hot exhaust coming from the furnace? Seems to me it would be like covering up 1/3rd of the vent.

I used hot glue on the fridge vent screening too. Still holding up after 3 years.
