Installed Mud Flaps

Decided to install mudflaps last week while at Sauble Beach. Bought a single dump truck flap from Princess Auto for $15. Cut it in half and trimmed it to fit each wheel well. Took about 1/2 hour total to cut, trim and install. Easier to install as we had an axle flip done last year.

Looks good. How flippy floppy are they. I've made them using the more rigid hard plastic ones I've found along the high ways after a big truck blow's a tire. All over and free.
Keep up the good work, and enjoy your camping.
How was the beach?

...maybe (and this is only a guess) because you just spent a boatload of money on an RV, still have some money to spend and you need another option to list on your signature (when you get around to doing that) so yours will be longer than anyone elses on the forum?

Helps keep road spray down, keeps the TT cleaner, especially after an axle flip.

Looks good, I have been thinking about doing something similar, just never have gotten around to it.

The flaps have in fact kept the trailer and in particular, trailer steps cleaner in bad weather and on muddy roads. It's a cheap mod that is easy to do

My prior Rv was a Trailmanor. They had a poor design feature in that the dump piping ran about a foot behind the wheel. If you blew a tire it could take out the whole thing.

Although my 195RB has a lot more space between tire and dump valves I still like the idea of the extra protection a heavy truck mudflap provides.
