installing a fan in bathroom vent

I want to install a Vortex II roof vent in my new 195RB, but since there is no fan now, I'm wondering about wiring to connect it to power. Does anyone know if the vent is prewired for a fan or will I need to root around in the ceiling and find wiring to tap in to?

Daniel

Pull the trim ring, you will see the wiring if there is any.

Is there a ceiling light near? For our living room Vortex II fan our dealer used the wiring for the ceiling lights for the fan power.

I snaked a wire over to the light in my 195RB last fall. Not really difficult. The ceiling is insulated with pink fiberglass so easy to fish. Take the light off and find the power wire, connect a piece of wire to it, fish it across and you are off. You need to take off the trim panel to get to it.

Thanks, I kinda figured to connect to the light wires since it's right next to the vent. Good to know it worked for you, knowing it's doable is good.

Check wire size for load the fan will need, good luck with install.
