It is a good idea as long it is done structural right. Because if you cut two holes it gets structural weaker which you can compensate with a steel square angle iron frame fasten with strips on each 45 angle to the max extended. You can take up contact with Jayco what their suggestions are. Follow your hearts desire and where there's a will there is a way! Good luck!

I've never installed a window in a slide. One source of information for you would be to contact Jayco by filling out this Contact Customer Service Form. You could ask Jayco for drawings of the construction for your slide. From looking at the drawings, you might be able to plan where a window might go without hurting the structural integrity of your slide. You could also ask Jayco if they have any suggestions.

Good luck, and please post pictures of your window installation!

The problem that you can run into is framing. If the side walls are not framed for a window you will not have anything to attach it to or you could have a vertical/horizontal center support that you have to cut. Also JAYCO usually does not give advice on modifications. If it was an option they usually will help if a total change they usually pass.

I assume you are talking about the slide walls that are perpendicular to the TT, right? If so in some lines there are windows there, I know my JayFlight does and I noticed whitehawk and Swift didn't have them. Anyway, I assume the slide rooms are pretty standard between the various lines so it seems where there is a will there is a way.

I agree Jayco won't help with this, and I think because of that I wouldn't tackle this project and learn to live without them.

Post if you figure how to get it done. My 322FKS has side windows in the front slide but not in the bed slide. I've always wanted them there but was not sure how to go about it. Let us know.
