It all started with a lil paint....

"I want to buy a travel trailer!" I said to my grown sons when I retired..

I looked, I bought...a 2012 154BH SLX 'New To Me' TT....

"I think I want to brighten her up some with a 'Lil paint'........"

Last summer I learned......How to Tow a travel trailer, How to Set it up,... How to sand, prime ,cure, and Paint the interior,...how to do a Remodel without drilling anything! How to make a 'Box Corner ' when recovering the cushions! How to make 2 sets of curtains for the windows! (One set to let light in, One set to keep light Out!) How to fit the 'cushy' tile Just right on the back splash. ...And added a Faux Front Window ...I made her My Lil Miss Tiffany!

Looking forward to getting out more with her this summer!

Thank Ya'll! I have had so many tell me to 'Post The Pics Here' and I finally joined!
I forgot to add the 'Upper Deck' Loft made for my grandson...which serves as my extra storage for longer trips when he cant come with me!
I also added a before pic...

It was definitely a 'learning experience!' So far from last summers heat up until now the 'tiles and paint' havent been affected. But I did lots of research to be sure before I began!
Before I decided on the 154BH, I looked at Vintage Trailers and decided I just didnt want to do a ENTIRE makeover and this was a much simpler option!

I am happy to answer any questions if anyone decides to do this !
Thanks Again!

Light colors stay pretty neutral. Dark colors are always short lived trends. I think it is great when people make it their truly their own travel home. I always remodel to my liking and everything has to function properly and keep the maintenance up for trouble free camping. There are enough manuals out on the web to do all repair and maintenance yourself.............many just don't read them and don't want to learn to help themselves. In the over 50 years as RV owner I never went to a dealer for repairs. Once a 5er had to go back to the Factory on Oregon state and they still couldn't fixed. So I had todo it myself and let their warranty go. Jayco still builds good products and sure due fast mass production things got missed. Be sides many products they install is just delivered to them for assembly. Great camping everyone and learn to maintain!

I have found that if I can't find a answer in the manual , (which for the SLX is somewhat vague and does not cover my specific TT) I can usually find a answer online,...and always find a answer when out camping! I have saved a ton simply by asking others how to do things! And I have found LOTS of information on this site that I didn't know I needed to know!

Sorry for the late response.

I used Gripper paint by Glidden First! (Lightly sand any sheen off first)
Be sure to let it 'cure' a few days...
This step is important!
Then Glidden Granite grey on cabinets
And Ace Hardware "Cloud" color on walls
Its held up even when towing thru 100 degree plus temps!
The wall mural of my "window" up front with the Birch trees, I found on Amazon!
And its held up very well too!
