Jay Flight Swift 287BHBE Dinette Bunk mod

Took the new TT for the first trip this weekend. Found a few factory flaws that will get fixed later this week, and one design problem.


The table top support for dinette bed conversion is terrible, and we rammed our legs into it all weekend.
Here's what the edge looks like:

Here's what my calf looks like. DW is much worse, but she won't let me take pictures, because "its just gross":


I haven't decided if I'm going to replace the entire piece with a new shaped board, or just try to create some radiused ends for a transition to guide your leg over it.

I'll post more pics up when completed, and a how-to if anyone is interested.

I rounded the edges of my battens and covered them with felt. The felt wont help much for cutting into your legs, but it does help protect the edges of your dinette.
