Jayco 23J Plumbing Mod

Just finished installing a accumulator tank and water filter on our new 2011 23J. Fit well next to the water pump, used pex tubing and clamps to connect it all together. I think every trailer should have an accumulator tank as standard equipment. Listening to the pump cycle on and off less sure is nice. The filter has a carbon filter in it, so no matter where we fill up we will have good tasting water.

Hey tslarson! Welcome to the Jayco forum, glad you found us! Great first post - nice mod.

Is that the Surflow 1 gallon tank or another tank? I have been thinking about installing a little 5 gallon tank from Lowes, but dont use the pump enough to justify it. I like that small one because it would not take much room, but concerned it would not provide enough benefit -- how much improvement have you seen?

Also - if you get a sec, feel free to drop by the new member forum and introduce yourself.

Nice mod and welcome,tslarson!

Terry, that`s the size tank I have and it does make a big difference. Some have used a 2 gallon tank from Lowes which would be even better. Her`s some pics of my entire Water pump silencing mod.
