July 4th Mod - Greyhawk 2nd House Battery

The DW and I are staying put this Holiday weekend to assist my MIL who's moved my FIL home from an assisted living facility. I had a local welding shop fabricate a frame to accommodate a marine battery tray. I attached the battery tray housing to the frame using 4 - 5/16" bolts with lock nuts. I used 2 awg cooper cable to connect both SRM-29 12 volt Interstate Batteries.

Here's a picture of the completed installation.

The DW and me are staying put this week-end, although we do have the kids and grandkids coming over to shoot sparklers!

Happy 4th!

Looks real professional. I also have a 31DS (2012) and I wonder where in the coach that tray is located - I cannot tell from the picture?

I installed it just behind the left rear tire spring hanger. It's also just forward of the grey & black tank dump tubing. Maybe this picture will give you a better idea. you can see the spring hanger on the left side of this photo.

Both batteries are Interstate Batteries BCI Group 29M. I installed a new house battery last summer and just added this new one with this mod.

The inverter supplies power to outlet at the front television. I regularly will use inverter to power an oscillating fan via that outlet. I have also used an extension cord run to our bedroom tv when dry camping. Feel free to pm me if you want as I don't check the site regularly.
