Just installed ultra bright led's

Just installed ultra bright led's outside underneath awning on side of my RV.
As you can see I wired the led's on that orange lite on the side of my RV.
These LED's cost me $20 bux on ebay for a 15ft roll of 600 ultra bright led's. They have a clear weather coating (thick rubber ) on top of the led's.

These led's have a sticky back. Make sure you clean the surface first!

Now you will see a small box in the center. It's just one of those small telephone jack box'es $2 bux at Home depot. I also bought a roll of the clay weather striping. You can mold it into any shape you want. I use the clay on the the orange lite above and on that small box below.

I hooked the wiring to the Orange Lite Above!

These led's a very bright!!!!

Here are a couple of pics:

NOTE:

Use a chalk line to make sure your lites are stright. I did not use a chalk line cuz I did not have one like a moron lol

You can hardly notice them on the side of the TT. I like the clear coating

Nice. Can I ask why you choose to drop down from the knight vs going up closer to the awning?

No reason. I guess it was the easiest to do since the switch that turn on the orange lite is inside my RV. Thought it would be easier to hook up the wires. This bad boy is very bright! No complaints.

Nice and bright. Looks good. Looks like you could probably remove the light in the original outdoor lamp.

I guess I could but naaaaaaa lol I'm lazy lol. But I was told that the orange lite helps keeps bugs away. ( per camping world ) Now weather that is correct or not is yet to be seen.

Bug sees the white lights, comes buzzing in full speed, looks up and sees the orange light, slams on the brakes, and throws it in reverse.

Well too each his own dude! I don't give a rat ass if it looks redneck or not as long as I like it. It is what it is. I guess by your statement

"I always believe mods should be done to look factory or better"

Gives me the impression that you really don't work on your RV. That's kool, but those of us that can't afford those high prices at an RV shop for every little mod we just figure it out for ourselves and take pride on our mods and that we did it for less than an RV shop.

another example:

Just like the crappy Norcold refer. Mine took a ****. They wanted $600 for a new cooling system. Some of the dealers wanted as much as $1100 or more for a new one! I cant not afford that. So I took out that crappy Norcold refer and called up Home Depot and put in a brand new Frigidaire ( pulls only 6 amps ) refer for $400 bux! All I had to do is cut out 3/8" of and inch off the side of the refer box and installed the new Frigidaire refer and put some black quater round around the refer box and looks awesome! I'm proud like others that do their own mods on their RV and can say "I did it myself and proud of it"

Have a nice Day

Looked for an emoticon for a "happy face firing off both barrels" but I couldn't find one for you hozerdude!! You're of course correct! It's your TT and your business how you do your mods. If it look good to you, that's all that matters. Keep doing mods and showing us pictures!!

Here is a few more pics the stair lighting , covered the whole roof of the storage area and installed factory halogen lights that match original lighting and the switch for the LEDs. I changed the 2 switch for a 3 switch plate to look factory...

No pic of the water filter setup but I changed from the single to a dual filter.
Replaced the 40 inch tv with a 46 inch model, ran Hdmi cables throughout the trailer. And no this wasn't done at a shop I refuse to have someone work on my fifth wheel ..I guess I think it would have looked better if the LEDs were ran under the awning rail
