Keeping spices handy and organized

Savory spices found a nice place to be thanks to a metal wall hanging with magnetic spice canisters.

You can find these on Amazon. I happened to find mine at the container store.

Velcro removable strips so it would be adjustable and I could remove it later if needed.

I always thought we cooked some pretty decent meals when camping and we only carry salt, pepper, adobo and apple pie spice with us. Do many of you really use that many spices while camping? Maybe I should start upping my meal plan game

I think that looks pretty good by the way. Make me want it even though we don't use that many spices.

Great mod, our spices take up too much room. This would save a lot of cabinet space.

We carry a lot of spices. My BBQ rubs and sauces use lots of spices. We always carry, Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Chili Powder, Ground Cumin, Paprika, Oregano, Basil, Parsley, Ground Mustard, Ground Cinnamon, Ground White Pepper, Celery Seed, Dill and Ground Cayenne Pepper. There's also the store bought rubs like McCormick's Grill Mates and Old Bay. I'm probably missing a few. We also always have White Vinegar, Red Wine Vinegar and Apple Cider Vinegar; Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Olive Oil and a veggie oil; Worcestershire Sauce, Soy Sauce and Liquid Smoke.

Michael, that's a great list. I'm looking at kitchen cupboard organizers so I can stock the Hawk. I cook using crock pot, sous vide, air fryer, and stove/oven. Food nerd, admittedly.

I cook most of our meals and I don't want to compromise my kitchen because we are in a smaller space. We do carry a crock pot too. I use it more for keeping things warm. My wife cooks with it, but I don't. Our Bungalow has a free standing range with a two rack oven, so I can actually bake cakes, cookies and cupcakes. With our previous standard RV oven we didn't bake much other than biscuits and frozen pizza.

Our outside kitchen consists of Char-Griller smoker/grill, Weber Q1200 and a Coleman 2 burner stove. The stove and Weber Q are connected to a 20lb tank. I use at least one of them on a daily basis.

I like the idea. Are the magnets strong enough to leave spices in place while traveling or do you store them elsewhere?

These are strong enough. And the lids are snug as well.

Hahaha, I have never been one to settle for simple campfire meals. Drives my wife nuts and is the cause of lots of chit chat with our camping neighbors. They love waking up to the smells from my smoker.
