Kitchen lights - halogen to LED

We had one of the two halogen lights burn out over the kitchen sink. I was able to replace them with these LED lamps. I just had to remove the spring clamps.

That’s a nice find. My halogen lights are probably the same as yours and I replaced just the bulb with LED’s that I find on eBay and Amazon but they’ve been surprisingly unreliable but are pretty cheap (hmmm, I see a correlation). I hope yours last longer than mine. I may buy some of these when I run out of spares.

I did the same thing in my old rig (replaced just the bulb) and had similar results. They would flicker, the color would change, sometimes they wouldn't come on right away... But I wouldn't consider mine "cheap". I don't remember what exactly I paid for them, but I don't remember cheaping out on those.

Wish I had known about these replacement fixtures, they look nice...
