LED Lights in place of the type 921 bulbs

Hey let us know how bright the 42 bulb ones are. My wife does not think the 25 bulb ones are bright enough and took some of them out.

I also noticed that the light fixtures (by command electronics) do not have reflectors at all. Just white plastic. I wonder if adding a reflector (or aluminum foil) would help the output a bit.

I received mine on Friday (the 25 led ones). I agree they are pretty blueish compared to the incandescent bulbs. They are pretty bright but not quite bright enough. I think I'm also going to go for the high led count lights from the same seller. The power usage and low heat is very very nice.

Just got home from camping and a 4 pack of the 42 led version was in my mailbox. Installed them and they look brighter but it's hard to tell in full daylight. Anxiously waiting for the sun to set. Will post back tonight

Interesting. They don't seem much brighter at all. Maybe 10% if anything. But they are whiter except one of the 4 is a little bluer.

This is why I paid more for mine from a dealer rather than buy that ebay junk. Mine are all bright white and BRIGHT... Really only needed one per fixture but have the 2 in each now...

I ordered a dozen more of the 25 led ones today. Gonna switch the rest of the trailer out. $36 for the dozen. Total for all 20 that I have ordered is under $70. With all LEDs in the main living area now we are happy with them. If I turn on the table light, to supplement the two overheads it is plenty bright. And I'm still saving a ton of power even though I gotta run one extra fixture.

Sure I would probably prefer the look of the $25 bulbs, but not for $500 vs $70.

This is even more strange. I did power readings on the 25 vs 42 led bulbs. The 42 LEDs draw .075 amps at 12.65 volts and the 25 led bulbs are showing .12 amps at 12.65v.

So the 42's are putting out approx the same amount of light but doing so with even less power. The LEDs must be arranged in series.

Yeah, unless my multi meter is screwed up. I measured 0.16 amps with everything off. With a double fixture of the 25s i got 0.40 amps. With a double fixture of the 42s I got a reading of 0.31 amps. Subtract out the 0.16 amps of mystery load to get just bulbs.

I didn't expect to see that. Measured each bulb 3 times and got same.

I will take a pic tomorrow night to show how they look. After getting used to the color they actually look great to me. I put the 921s back in and they are very harsh by comparison.

Final order came in, my trailer is now all LED. Did a current test with 20 bulbs on, I draw 2.02 amps total. Awesome. With a single 921 I draw 1.54.

Dry camping this weekend, and will report how they work in the wild with wife and 2 young-un's.

I checked both my 25 LED and 42 LED lights (received my 42 LED ones Friday). About the same sort of measurements. .04 amps for the 42 LED light and .1 amps for the 25 LED light. I tested right from the battery (which was at about 12.61 volts). So looks like about 1.26 watts for the 25 LED light and an amazing .5 watts for the 42 LED light.

Just looking at the two lights last night, I really could not see much of any real difference is the amount of light output between the two.

I'll post a few picture I took in just a bit.

I'm less concerned with saving power as I am making the light a bit dimmer. There are so many lites in our 28bhs, its blinding. i would love to have some dimmer bulbs, does any one know if they makes something like that?

So which one did you end up with, the 25 or the 42 in your trailer? Would you say that the lights are at least bright as the OEM? What is the Ebay item number for the 25?

I'm using both, mostly the 42 LED ones as I bought 2 (packs of 4 for a total of 8 lights). Some of the 25 LED ones I had I put in the bath room and then trying to figure out if I want to replace the one above the sink and/or couch. The ones in the main part of the camper have been replaced with the 42LED lights. I was thinking the 42LED lights might be brighter then the 25LED, don't seem to be to me.

They are not as bright as the OEM 18W bulbs, but "close". I wish I had someway of actually telling how different they are other then just eye sight. It was cheap enough to try them out, so I did. They are a little more blue then I might like, but I did not really like the orange'ish color of the OEM either. My wife says she is fine with the LED lights.

The 42LED light do seem to use less power, they don't seem to give of any more light then the 25LED, best I can tell. If I needed to buy more, I'm really not sure which I'd go with. I might have to toss a coin.

What bulb number do you have now? If say it's the #921 which are 18W, you may be able to pick up some #912 that are 13W to get you want you want.
