LED strip light problem

I bought a set of the LED strip lights many of you are talking about and installed then today. The lights worked fine in the box but after attaching them to the awning and cutting a few inches off the end, only green comes on. I lost the instructions but seem to recall the cut should be between the RGB indicators...any suggestions?

Yep, try turning the plug around, try the remote and make sure it isn't on green.

I've had 1 LED (RGB) go out altogether and 1 green LED go out in just 2 weeks.
I am on the road, but Amazon refunded me. I'll order a new set later.

Best regards,
Doug

I noticed 3 of the LEDs were out a few feet from the end so maybe something broke in the strand while I installed it. I didn't get to try reversing the plug. Bought the set off of Amazon more than 30 days ago so a refund is probably out.

The battery in my remote didn't work. Try that as well.
