Lifting the Generator and other heavy items

I have had a 3500 watt gen for over a decade mostly got it for at home incase of power outage but usually take it camping with me incase of days without sunlight.. but lifting it was hard so for $99.00 at harbor freight I got this.. no more sore back now. When not in use it stores under the bedrail.

Pretty neat when you need to lift something in the back of the truck bed. I had a small winch that would slip into the bed rail hole near the tailgate that worked good for lifting small thing. Son-in-law borrowed it and it never came back hehe...

I also have one one of those hydraulic tables in my so-called shop where you lift something up level with the tail gate and slide it into the truck bed.

Both of these were not rated for many lbs but handy to have when no one was around to help.

My 2KW Generator lives secured to the inside truck bed near the tailgate. I have a fold-a-cover lockable bed cover as well so its always out of sight... When I need to use I just pull it out onto the tailgate... Goes where I go...

Seems like I am the one that gets saved by running down my truck start battery yapping on the HAM RADIO when parked at shopping mall waiting for mommabear to come back from the store. I just plug-in my portable battery charger for five minutes and truck starts up.
