Made me a tiny table!
I was sitting in one of the recliners and noticed there was no place to put a beer....er......I mean an iced tea. I decided to make a foldable table and attach it to the wall. In all, it cost me about $20. I already had the stain and quite honestly, the most expensive part of this project were the 2 folding braces. i bought those at the RV dealer parts dept. These braces are pretty common.
I thought it was pretty dumb not to be using that space for something usefull. so I made the table.

That is a really, really nice looking job.
How did you fasten it to the wall?

Thanks guys. To attach it to the wall, I wasn't betting on a stud- plus its gonna hold drinks, not textbooks. I made a duplicate piece of wood. This duplicate piece looks exactly like the one used for sitting drinks on. When I got it looking just as pretty as the main decorative piece, I drilled 4 pilot holes, the 4 countersinks. I then put gorilla glue on the back of the wall piece, drilled 4 screws into the wall, and placed 4 wood buttons over the countersinks. That table is not going anywhere! Gorilla glue is some of the strongest there is. Plus the 4 screws, and that table will stay for sure.
The wood is poplar from home depot back in the craft wood section- that's usually in the back corner of the store.
Any rv parts dept has the drop brackets. Ther are 2 of them on the project.

I don't know....sure looks more like a beer table than an ice tea table......good work on that, WestTX. I have a spot in my Jayco that is begging for a "beverage" table. Hope you don't mind me swiping your idea.
