Maxxair Deluxe install

I ordered a Maxxair deluxe fan. I am going to install it myself, is there anything I should know about before I start? I need to get power to it but a light is about a foot away. It is this one

Put in teh fan today, it was quite easy and went well. One thing I would do better but it didn't affect the install but had me worried was when I cut the wire for power I looked at it and noticed there was lots of extra so I cut it in the middle and used marrettes to connect the wires back together. When I went to put the wire back in the the roof space it would only go in one way and it took a couple times to figure out what that way was!! So before you cut make sure you know where your wires are going to end up and cut near the end of the fan wire and join there. It looks very good, the above video is very helpful, I had watched previous to this post too.
