So shortly after we bought our 2012 Jayco Swift SLX 184BH we were traveling home from a Saskatchewan visit and hubby turns to me and says, "I keep glancing out the back mirror to see the scenery and all I can see is my new girlfriend, Trailer Swift." And so she was named...
We traveled one summer with her using everything as it came. Then we started adding fun stuff and changing things up to make her work best for us.
The biggest mod was removing the top bunk and adding a shelf in it's place. Easy mod! At the same time we strengthened the wall between the bunk and the couch and added an articulating arm TV mount on the couch side. We also added a bunk curtain at that time for some privacy. With the bunk gone it really is a nice private space that teens or younger kids would really enjoy. Our son liked it. It also gave us a spot to put coat hooks.
We've popped out some of the empty space panels on the cupboards to make easy reach in spots for the gear we access most often, and we cut a hole into the side of the passenger side dinette bench for shoe storage.
I've also added photos of how we store our gear. There's a lot of sideways photos, and I can't figure out how to turn them. iPhone pics, but just changing them in my phone doesn't seem to change them on the upload. Sorry for the kinks in the neck
Hubby can explain the technical stuff way better than I, and will weigh in when I can't answer questions!
