Mid-Awning Support Needed (?)

The awning on our new Jay Flight has a slight bow in the middle when it is rolled up. I have seen brackets with a roller that support the middle of the awning. Are these effective or advisable. Any experience with a well-made bracket? Thank You!

They work well, installed them on several rigs.

Wondering the same, LCI makes a bracket says can be used on any length but 20’ or longer it’s advisable. My awning is 19’, and it bounces in the middle during travel….

I guess it's time to research. I will post what I find. It would be great to know a good brand if someone has installed one. I don't know about the 20'. Ours won't last without something. Ours is 19' also. That's close enough in my book. We had a 16' on our Feather; it did not bow at all.

X2

I installed one on my prior Eagle TT and worked great. The support kept the awning tube from flexing and 'tugging' at the gutter rail while in tow. After 12 years my awning tube didn't show any signs of 'center sag'.

My support was a Carefree of Colorado brand:

My present TT awning is only 15ft long and is fine (thus far) without a support.

My awning is 18 or 19 feet, and it's had a saggy middle for years. Still works but I wish I'd started out with it having a center support.
