Mod I could never live without again.

I will never have a trailer without these. Huge difference. Just spent the first weekend on them and just could not be happier. I used the BAL brand, 4 on the front (first 2 pics) and 2 across the back (last pic). I believe the JT's strong arms or the Stedifast are just as good, I just went with these because Home Depot had them and I had gift cards. I think a trailer around 20' or less would only need the 4 on the front. (Sorry if others have posted about these already, I'm new here and haven't looked through all the threads). These are on our new 242BHS.

Note: the 2 on the back (3rd pic), where the mounts on the trailer are right next to each other, I ended up moving them apart by about 5" to gain more extension.

I totally agree. I have the Steadyfast and they will be on all future RVs.

On my 224bh I use the stock four corner stabilizers in conjunction with BAL X-Chocks. That makes it plenty stable for us. We had 4 adults and a baby in there over the 4th ofJuly vacation, and everything seemed really stable.

But we are not large people, so YMMV.
