Another day another simple mod. My older son complained about the mattress on his bunk. Added a memory foam topper. Just cut it to fit.

Finally got around to putting my state map sticker on. I got it for Christmas.

Got around to a project I have wanted to do for a while. Moved the shower trap to behind the basement wall. It hung down too far and got in the way of the storage tubs.

Replaced the terrible capital grill. Used a sheet of aluminum that I screwed to the top. Cut it out to fit the new cook top. Installed the cook top and trimmed the counter opening to fit. I also had to cut the bottom for clearance for the propane hose.

I really like the cooktop mod. I am lucky that ours came with a cooktop. A bought a cast iron griddle/grilling plate that fits perfectly. Jay

Great job on finding a replacement for the Capital Grill and thanks for sharing modification steps and pics of finished product. I liked your mod so much I just did the same conversion!

Looks nice. We used ours for the first time a couple of weeks ago. So much better.

Got around to doing some things to the 5er today. I added lighting to the pantry behind the tv. I pulled the power from behind the stereo and ran it to a switch I mounted at the top of the opening. Secured the wiring with adhesive mount zip tie holders.

Started another project. The panel below the fridge has to be removed for access to the water heater. I am going to add hinges to the panel. To make the area somewhat usable I made a removable box to store items in.

What is the part number/model number for that thermostat? My rig has that blue tooth version that is rather difficult to cycle through the menus to get the desired settings. I would much rather install the version you have that is more user friendly.

I believe it is discontinued. There is a knock off on Amazon.

I believe this is the updated colman one.

My coach has the one on the left. it is a piece of garbage from a ease of use standpoint. I give that cheap knockoff a look today. Might fit the bill perfectly.
