Hey Mark- You get those steps installed? How was the install on your new fiver? I've been considering a set for a while but I'm just not sure. Let me know your feelings. Thanks.

Happy RVing,
Jeff

I installed these MorRyde steps and installed the bolt on handrail. I love these steps. Clearance is not an issue for me. I have a 2018 28.5 RSTS. I followed the directions on their website about measuring to ensure they would work for me. I measured multiple times and was satisfied that I would not have any problems. They work great. To not bring dirt in the camper from these steps. I raise them about 3/4 of the way up and then bump them up and down on my hands to get rid of any dirt. That procedure works good for me getting rid of the dirt.

Are the set legs too high? Try letting the steps hang down without the legs touching the ground. Then see if door closes. If that’s the case, simply adjust the legs.

Another thing I did: You may need to give the screen door bottom sweep a “haircut”...makes the screen (and door when together) open and close easier

Haven't really played with the yet hanging with my grandson but the legs are not even in. Will check them better later on. Tried a set on our previous camper and had same issue maybe me.

I'll ask the stupid questions. #1 Did you complete Step 1 of the installation instructions " Remove step transition strip". #2 Did you complete Step 4 very carefully "15/16 measurement is important also. Not trying to be a know it all, but just providing some quality assurance oversight.

Hey Jeff, yes I did install them. Worth every penny! One piece of advice though, get them from a local dealer. You can purchase them on amazon but it’s almost guaranteed they will show up damaged. The box is large and awkward. My thought is it gets handled too many times during the shipping phase and gets damaged. I didn’t want to deal with returning them only for the second set to be damaged again. A lot of reviews on Amazon state this. I purchased them through the dealer we got our 5er from. Took me about 15 minutes to install. I highly recommend them. Just make sure where you are parked you have the room to lower the steps. There is a qualifier worksheet on the MorRyde website to measure and select the correct steps. I went from the 3 step ones to the 4 step MorRyde ones. Also, MorRyde offers a storage box you can put in place of the factory pull out steps. I have that box ordered.

Good Luck!

Also the Qualifier page on the MorRyde website details what to measure and check to ensure proper step selection.

I installed my own and the box too
Happy with both. My dealer matched the Amazon price when I asked him to.

Mark- Looks real good. We are now debating between those steps or the Furrion backup camera. For Xmas, I suggested I get the camera and the DW gets the steps. Not sure what throwing a book at me really meant but I ducked anyway LOL
What did your dealer charge you for the steps?

Happy RVing,
Jeff

Husky, are the steps you installed the 4 step morryde? I have a 2018, Eagle HT 28.5 RSTS. If you have the 4 step version what is the part number for the steps.

Yes, I installed the 4 step model, 4 step handrail and the storage box to fill the hole where I removed the original steps. I cannot find the paperwork, but I followed the Qualifier Form steps and the Step Above Fit Chart on their website exactly to a T and the steps fit perfectly.

Had the Moryde steps installed at the DW’s request while at the dealer for winterization and a few minor things. Had them install the box in the empty space too. Love them so far. Can’t wait for warmer weather to really try them out.

I added the handrail to my North Point and didn't have any issues. I removed it when I traded it in and installed it on my Pinnacle and the counter did interfere. I had to cut about two inches off the bottom of the handrail and drilled new holes for the bolts and it clears perfectly now.
