My most useful modification has to be replacing the entry steps with the Glow Step Revolution. Old back and bad knee really appreciate the new steps.

CW has them also. Very inexpensive addition.

As far as "simple" mods * go... Replaced the bunkside power outlets with combination 110v outlet and USB charger ports.

* Standard disclaimer: It's only "simple" if you are comfortable working with 110V wiring. If you're not, find somebody who is.

Detachable power cord mod, screen door handles on both doors, LED lighting throughout, upgrade to e-rated tires, replaced string always breaking day/night shades with faux wood blinds, just to name a few.

I got tired of having the drinking water cooler in the way and taking up what limited counter space we have. So a buddy of mine came up with a good idea and we ran a 1/4” water line from under the kitchen sink along the same path as the furnace duct back the storage area under my bed. We mounted another water pump right next to the main water pump and tied into the main pumps wiring. We put the drinking drinking water pump on its own switch. We mounted a chrome drinking water faucet on the kitchen sink. I bought a 6 gallon water jug and you just put it under the bed and put the 1/4” line in it and you have drinking water on tap.

Most useful Mod

Added a 200 AH and 2000 watt pure sine wave inverter and charger. Just got back from Fairbanks. While I am driving down the road or parked the inverter runs all the AC (except of course the roof air conditioner) including the microwave and refrigerator. Very handy. Also added a TPMS for the tires, a great modification.

Useful modification

I removed the dinette booth as it became a landing spot for anything we were carrying. Bought two leather wall hugger recliners which are so comfortable and a better use of space

I removed the glass shower doors, added an extend-a-shower, & shower curtain. Now I don't have to take a shower, sideways. I also added an assist handle, where the old door closed, to make it easier to step up the foot & a half into the shower.

Best mod for me

I have made almost no mods to our 2012 26.5 RLS but recently added motion sensor LED lights to our pantry, which was very dark, and it has made so much difference, I ordered two more to place in the pantry when we get our trailer back from the doctor, fixing our awning motor.

In order of importance:
Sumo Springs
Hellwig Sway Bar
Equalizer Leveling System
Slide toppers
Tire minders
Battery minder
Chrome wheels

Of less importance:
Sirius SM
Grip on screen door
Ceramic back splash behind stove and bathroom sink
Lights in cabinets

All this took about 2 years. Nothing left to do but enjoy!!!

Many mods over the years but 3 of the most useful:

100% LED lighting including adding extra in a few dark spots, and mood lighting for when we are just sitting around, cut power usage to 1/10th of what the old used.

Small indoor outdoor thermometer for the frig, I put velcro on the dash and by the frig and just move the readout head depending if we are camping or driving, always know what the frig is doing without opening it. I bought https://www.amazon.com/Springfield-9...ingfield+91765

Changed my roof vent/fan to a MaxxAir fan that opens and closes when you turn it on and is weather proof even when open, you can even drive with it up. I bought the model with a remote control so I can change settings from bed in the middle of the night.

Useful addition

I swapped out the bathroom vent for an automatic wireless remote control MaxxFan. Now my wife can open and close the vent (she is 4'10").

Tool Box

I mounted a narrow diamond plate tool box behind my propane bottles. It housed my battery as well as all my hitching apparatus (draw bar, anti-sway bar, tension bars, etc.). Was so useful. Everything to hitch up was right there. Also kept tools and gloves there as well.

Think of how much heat you cut down in the interior as well. Great idea!

Here's mine: I connected a small induction coil in series with a resister to my hot water heater power line. When the current is flowing, indicating heating water is being heated, the induction coil lights a small green LED that I placed under my inside steps.
When someone showers, It comes on until the water is heated and lets us know when it is on. Also it's handy when you are setting up to know that water is actually being heated.

That's a cool idea. I wish I could connect a similar LED into the circuitry of my fresh water #2 level light on my inside control panel. I would then rout the LED into my wet bay so I would not have to run in and out of the camper to see when the level got to the #2 position every time I add water to my fresh water tank. I could see when it gets to the #2 level from outside.
