My 264BHW Upgrades and Mods
Well I figured I would start my own mod thread! I got most of the ideas from this forum so thank you to everyone who has helped me out! Here we go...
So the first thing I had to do was reinforce the bed frame. I am not a small guy and I didn't want to sleep on the floor lol. Simply added the frame in the pictures but I also added barn door style hinges to add strength. I then wrapped the plywood with felt to keep from snagging our new mattress.

Next on the list was to open up the space above the microwave like so many others have. Amazing how much space is there! Simply added some cable wrap to the wires to make it look presentable.
While I was at it I knocked out the big false panel on the cabinet above the table. Currently just have a fridge bar there. Not sure what else to do aside from adding another cabinet door.

Finally, I upgraded the manual jack to an electric! SO worth it. I also added a spiral breakaway cable, a chain saver to organize it all and a propane cover. Really cleaned up the look!
There will be more mods happening but so far that is what I got! Input, ideas, and questions are welcome!

Nice mods.
I really like the shoe storage. Simple, but effective.
Looking to do a few of these myself. Just haven't made it a priority yet :-)
Thanks for sharing,
Doug

Nice mods. I especially like the shoe storage. Accommodates the shoes, but doesn't take away much room from the under the sofa storage.

I love the shoe storage idea. I wanted to remove our panel and have my husband cut it in half so I could access the storage a lot faster and easier than lifting that couch but it seemed more difficult than I thought it would be. You did a very nice job. ~Paula~

Thank you all! The shoe storage worked great on our last trip! You could easily cut it in half you would just need to build a support for the middle so it can attach to something.
Still trying to figure out the best thing I can do to keep my 11 month old in the bunk at night. Seen a couple ideas but havnt decided yet...more to come!

Bunk Gate
We have made a solution! We have a couple dogs that are crate trained and I remembered their crates came with a movable wall in the center so they can use one crate from puppy to adult. We dug it out of storage, bent it to shape and cut off the hangars. Perfect fit! The bottom slides in between the mattress and the trim. To hold in the top we used these child proofing cabinet clips. They simply stick on to the wall and you can easily unclip them to get in and out!
We also added this rack on the bathroom wall for easy storage.
Not sure why my pictures are sideways here. Sorry about that.

That's ok. Mine always post upside down, and I'm not smart enough to figure out how to make them post right side up. So, I don't post any mod pictures.
