Very nice. How hard of a job was it? Do you think the stain glass will hold up when towing? Looks great!

Wow does that look nice. Someone spent some time on this. I'm thinking of taking this up as a hobby. I'm not overly creative but after watching some tutorials on the Internet, i might be able to pull it off. I have heard that there are campgrounds that have hobby rooms and this is popular with them.

I agree, it looks nice. I've also thought of taking it up as a hobby.

You really need 2 people to do this.. one to just hold the outside window. Just undo the screws on the inside of the frame, take the old glass out, insert the new stained glass. I used a lot of silicon to seal the edges. I had helped a friend do this on their motorhome last winter and it held up which is why I did it now... BUT I am keeping the old glass for a while just incase.

The door glass is definately a three handed operation.

4 Handed actually... for a little bit one person has to hold both sides as you reach for screws to put in the retaining ring...

beautiful! but I'm wondering how it is holding up with the bouncing down the road?
I have done this kind of stained glass (it's called Tiffany style) and if a piece is dropped the soldered joints can come apart. If you can put it between 2 thins pieces of glass and reinstall it, it will hold together better.
Just my two cents...

5 years later and over 25,000 miles and it still looks as good as the day I installed it
