My mods

Have made a few minor mods so far. I posted one or two I think. Thought I would just put all of them in one post and add to it as I go.

Simple sink strainer in the bathroom sink. The wife was worried about dropping a contact. This simple little add on has been great at catching a few things.

Changed out the shower holder for one that gives a better downward angle.

The screen door opener so you don't have to slide the panel.

Thumb turn locking latch on the storage compartment door. It only has one latch and the other one had to be locked in order to be latched. It was very inconvenient when needing stuff out of there.

Thanks for posting those. How much weight does that tongue bike rack add?

With 3 bikes it adds about 110 pounds. The bike rack has by far been the most convenient mod for me. The wife never understood my griping about loading bikes before.

Love the bike rack! Is it from canada? Can you still fold down tent end after removing bikes?

The bike rack is a homemade job. A buddy at work did the welding. The actual rack that holds the bikes comes off by pulling pins leaving just the tongue mounted part. The bunk end clears it by about 3/4", which is how we designed it.
The rack itself is this one with the part that goes into the hitch being cut off. I can get more pics later on if you're interested.

The bike rack seems to have generated a good bit of interest. I will get more pics and post them later this week.
Got a piece of 4" PVC conduit off the scrap pile at work to make my sewer how storage. That will be the next mod.

Thank you! I must give credit where credit is due.The bike rack idea was stolen from some others on this site. It isn't the exact same thing, but the basic idea came from here.

For those that were interested here are some more pics.
We measured, cut and welded everything together. This is what the base looks like.
The 2 middle angle iron pieces on the bottom could be removed to reduce weight. Since my battery box still fits right in there, I decided to not cut it out.

It fits into the angle that the battery box sits in. I removed the battery box, slid this in, bolted it down, then put the battery box back in this base.
I messed up the order of the pics.
#1 is the battery box "tray" on the trailer tongue with the battery box removed.
#2 is the bolt used to bolt it in place with teh base already slid in.
#3 is looking down on it after the battery box was put back in.
#4 is how the base slides in the battery box tray.
