My Stove Cover

Since we like cooking and preparing meals, even while camping, I found that I needed more counter space. Yes my 28BHBE has more than my previous TT, but I didn't have a stove cover.

The metal folding ones were sold 125-145$ by the local RV dealers... WHAT a rip off

So I did one myself, I find it better looking and way more useful! Plus it was cheap...

And thanks (NOT) to the flash, the color isn't coming out like it should, the match between the cover and the cabinets is almost the same!

Great job!!

I'm curious where you put it when you need to use the stove. Ours is much smaller than that, which is not the best for creating more counter space, but when we need to use the stove, it just leans up against the fridge or on the wall behind the stove and it's out of the way completely.

We also use a cutting board over the stove which hasn't been used since we use the Nuwave induction cooktop. The board stays where it is even when traveling as it has a rubber base.

I'll take pics of the underside later, I put wood blocks that will fit in between the stove grill, so it will stay put while travelling.

As for storing it when using the stove, we'll probable just put it on a bed. The little disadvantage of momentary storing is far exceeded by the usefulness of the extra space it creates!

Quahog, I'll check when I get back home, but I might not be able to help you out much!

We had some washroom cabinets done 2 years ago and that was the stain the company used. We had purchased an little can of it to do our window trim and baseboards to get the same color.

They sold it to us in an plain can, without any indication (if my memory serves me well). Since it looked pretty much like the interior of your JayFlight, I tested it and found the color match to be pretty perfect!
