Onan 4400 silencer

Anyone install the resonator? Do you think it made a difference? We do some beach camping and have had family camped next to us complain. I took my Honda 2000 last time because It's so quiet. I've seen some elaborate systems with pipe going up past the roof etc...
Thoughts?

The pipe past the roof is more for keeping the exhaust out of the RV than anything..

I think the exhaust is just a tiny bit of the noise coming from an Onan. I think most of it is just mechanical noise from the cooling fan, engine clatter, generator etc. They are actually pretty open and turning a constant 3600 rpm.

The gen-turi will also keep the exhaust off of your neighbors. Nice to have at the speedway in the cozy camping conditions.
