Overhead Cabinet Hinges

We were tired of trying to get things in and out of the overhead storage compartments because you have to hold the doors up the whole time. There were no hinges installed so the door keeps wanting to close the whole time you are trying to get things in/out.

Tonight I added a digital thermostat and while I was at it I went ahead and put some hinges on all of those cabinet doors.

Much better...

Looks good -- this is the kind of thing that RV companies take away and think no one will notice. My JayFlight has snap up hinges on the overhead cabinets, but when we shopping I noticed the Whitehawk and Swifts didn't. Same thing with lift assist rams on the bed storage. I just can't imagine the $3 that all adds up to really makes such a difference when setting the final price that they have to remove it or else the MSRP will be so high nobody will buy them.

Yep, I added those to the bed storage a long time ago. It was ridiculous trying to use the storage under the bed with no lifts to keep it open. That was a very easy fix. But, like you, I would have liked to think those would have been included.

Looks great! Where did you get the hinges? I need to do the same thing as my overhead doors drive me crazy.

I found then at Home Depot. It was much cheaper there than at one of the RV stores.
