Paint slideout?

We have a Whitehawk and all of the outside is white EXCEPT the side walls on the slideout. When we winter in AZ these walls get very hot. I measured them at 189 degrees compared to less than 100 for the white surface facing the same direction. I temporarily installed some foil bubble wrap and it did great. However it was a bit of a hassle. I am thinking of just spray painting the side walls white in hopes that it would be the same as the rest of the trailer and no need to take off the foil every time we move.

Any thoughts or experiences painting these fiberglass surfaces?

They are painted all the time with the full body paint options. You just need to do the proper preperation for the paint to adhere. Automotive finishes are used at the factory.

Painted it

So used 5 cans of Krylon paint for fiberglass. What do you think?

Looks good from here!

What do YOU think? I have no doubt it helped with the heat issue.

Time will tell

I won't know till we go south to Arizona how affective the white paint is. I will repost a few months from now and let you know.
