Pet screen

My dad showed me his makeshift wooden door guard he built to keep his dog from scratching through the screen in his TT. It was functional, but heavy. Ironically, as he was showing me the mod, my little dog was scratching through the screen on my TT door. I picked up a roll of pet screen from Lowes for under ten dollars and a screen tool for $2.50. Thought I'd share in case anyone else is interested in the mod. The material is thicker, and not metal, so it takes some force to get it installed in the screen groove. I slipped a few times, but didn't puncture the screen. It's tough stuff and totally worth it. The screen on top is standard screen, and the screen on the bottom is the pet screen.

I bought a thin sheet of plexiglass and cut it down to fit in the grooves on the screen door like the slider does. Works great for us!

Bought thin enough to go in the slots in the screen door and cut to size. Just bend and slide in. Leave about an inch short at the top so you can maneuver it in place. Similar to how the door handle slider is put in.
