Power tongue jacks?

Getting a little tired of cranking... wondering what everyone is using for a power tongue jack? Was thinking of this unit

http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...emote/coa87641

Would make for a great one man set up.

3502 UltraFab from Ebay and Minelli RV in NY. Under $100 and works great.

Love my Barker! Just remember the ground is generally through the mount so you need to make sure it has a good connection.

Can you use it manually incase the electric brakes

Hi there,

I've been thinking about getting an electric power tongue, but wonder what happens if it breaks, can you use a handle and crank it manually?

Look forward to hearing about it,

The UltraFab has a connection for a socket, provided, to manually crank. Most all of the units have this ability. It is slower but will get you out of trouble.

Our Barker 3500# jack also has a hand crank that can be accessed by removing the compass on top of the motor.

The new Jay Flight came with the Atwood! So far so good (but new...). It would be hard to go back at this point! I was worried about reliability but the service tech said they're really reliable and most of the failures he's seen are just a fuse (easy to access on ours) or bad connection.

Hey Sean, normally I would agree, less to go wrong is a great way to go.. but another remote? Yes please. Besides.. DW has spoken and wants the remote so she can walk inside the TT and level the fridge without having to bother with the Up, down, no up .. no down chatter we're going through now on the FRS radios.

I had a Jayco 28RLS which I installed a 3500lb Atwood Power Hitch. It came with a manual crank in case of failure. Shop online for prices you can save a lot of $.
